Το Χριστουγεννιάτικο δέντρο του E.E. Cummings (Νεφέλη 2011, σε μετάφραση Χάρη Βλαβιανού) έχει αναφερθεί ως το ωραιότερο ποίημα για τα Χριστούγεννα. Σίγουρα, πάντως, είναι ένα όμορφο τρυφερό κείμενο.

 Η εικονογράφηση του Paolo Ghezzi το κάνει ακόμη πιο όμορφο. Ένα όμορφο βιβλίο για παιδιά. 

Ο τίτλος του ποιήματος στο πρωτότυπο είναι little tree:

little tree

little silent Christmas tree

you are so little

you are more like a flower

who found you in the green forest

and were you very sorry to come away?

see          i will comfort you

because you smell so sweetly

i will kiss your cool bark

and hug you safe and tight
